CTR Aggregation

The ctr_aggregation field indicates whether transactions should aggregate for Currency Transaction Report purposes:

  • Y - Include in CTR aggregation
  • N - Exclude from CTR aggregation

This is important for joint accounts where multiple parties transact.

Best Practices

  1. Complete ownership - Every account should have at least one owner relationship
  2. Ownership percentages - Should sum to 100% for owned accounts
  3. Signer authority - Mark all parties who can transact
  4. Beneficial owners - Include for business accounts per FinCEN requirements
  5. Keep current - Update when relationships change
