Account Status

Standardized account status codes used in the rs_account_status field.

Overview

RiskScout normalizes your institution's account status codes to these standard categories. Accurate status tracking is essential for monitoring and regulatory reporting.

Your original status code is preserved in account_status, while rs_account_status contains the mapped standard value.

Code Values

CodeDescription
ActiveOpen and operational
DormantNo activity for an extended period, may need reactivation
ClosedPermanently closed, no transactions allowed
OverdrawnBalance is negative, withdrawals exceed available funds
DelinquentOverdue payments or unpaid balance beyond the due date
Charged OffBalance is uncollectible and written off as a loss

Risk Considerations

  • Dormant to Active - Sudden reactivation may warrant review
  • Overdrawn - Repeated overdrafts may indicate financial stress
  • Delinquent - Monitor for fraud or abandonment
  • Recently Closed - Check for suspicious activity before closure
